International teams confirmed for Super Club

Five international teams have been confirmed to contest the second season of Netball New Zealand’s Super Club competition in Nelson next month.

Eight teams, including New Zealand’s top three ANZ Premiership finishers, alongside five international club sides will go head-to-head from 19-24 August at the Trafalgar Centre.

This season features South African Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League champions the Gauteng Jaguars, Singapore Netball Super League side Sneakers, Scotland’s Vitality Netball Superleague team UWS Sirens, along with New South Wales Institute of Sport and a combined Fiji/Samoa side.

Three additional teams from New Zealand will join the mix based on their final placings at the conclusion of the ANZ Premiership Grand Final.

The competition sees 20 games played over six days, culminating in the Grand Final on 24 August, with all games broadcast live on SKY Sport.

The inaugural Super Club competition was won by the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel who beat the SKYCITY Mystics in the Grand Final.
