Netball Super Club Tickets on Sale

Tickets for Netball’s Super Club competition go on sale to the public today with the Nelson region set to host some of the game’s leading athletes.

Eight teams, including New Zealand’s top three teams from the ANZ Premiership alongside five elite international club sides, will go head-to-head over five days starting on August 19 at Trafalgar Centre in Nelson.

The Nelson region, which secured hosting rights for the fledgling international competition for three years, proved a popular destination for the inaugural Netball Super Club last year with a feature of the event the Community Engagement Day.

On August 22 the public will get to mix with the Netballers and have an opportunity to taste some of the world class activities within the area.

Last year the Netballers had the chance to go the Suter Art Gallery, local businesses, schools and the Wilsons Able Tasman cruise.

This year there will also be an emphasis on engaging with schools within the Nelson and Richmond area and the Netballing community.

The competition, which is in its second year, will see 20 games played over five days starting on August 19 and culminating in cross-pool play and a grand final on August 24.

There are a range of tickets on offer over the five days of international action including an Adult ($25) and Child ($15) pass. Three-day passes can also be purchased as well as a Family pass for two Adults and two Children. Tickets are available from Ticketek.

The inaugural Super Club competition was won by the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel who beat the SKYCITY Mystics in the grand final.
