MYOB extends partnership with Netball New Zealand

Leading business management platform, MYOB, has extended its six-year relationship with Netball New Zealand (NNZ), announcing a new partnership deal with ongoing support spanning a range of territories in the elite game.

NNZ welcomed the news that MYOB - which remains a major partner of the Silver Ferns - has expanded its partnership with the sporting body to become an Official Partner of the ANZ Premiership and the FAST5 Ferns.

As part of the new agreement which runs until 2025, MYOB will also be a partner of the FAST5 Netball World Series, which was hosted in New Zealand in November 2022 and is set to return in 2023 and 2024.

NNZ Chief Executive – Jennie Wyllie, welcomed the continued support from MYOB, and said the organisation’s increased backing reinforces its commitment to the game.

“MYOB have been passionate supporters of netball for such a long time, and to be able to continue to grow the relationship we have built so far is something we are proud of. They are a special part of our Netball New Zealand family,” she said.

“The new partnership widens MYOB’s support of netball, effectively seeing it champion our sport all year round.

“We have a big year ahead with the Netball World Cup in South Africa and we’re delighted our title defence will be with the support of a company like MYOB,” she added.

MYOB Marketing Manager –  Emma McMulkin, said the decision to extend support for netball in New Zealand and the Silver Ferns - a partnership first established in 2017 – was simple.

“There are a number of similarities between business and netball. Just like the ambition, passion, dedication and drive it takes our teams to succeed on the netball court, it’s the same for local business owners, and we’re committed to supporting the success of both.

“We are incredibly proud of our growing support of netball - from the grassroots level right through to being an Official Partner of the Silver Ferns, and we look forward to continuing to build our relationship with Netball New Zealand in the years to come,” added Emma.

“We also wish the Silver Ferns every success for what’s shaping up to be another big year on the netball calendar - particularly as they seek to retain their world title.”

The Silver Ferns will kickstart the new year with a Netball Quad Series in South Africa in January. The Netball World Cup will also be played in South Africa, taking place in July 2023.

In terms of regional competition, the ANZ Premiership will begin on Saturday March 4, 2023 with the Northern Mystics playing the Southern Steel in Auckland.
